Our latest project that will be filmed very soon is a re-try of Bad Day at the Movies. This was a project Dustin Joe and I were making half a year ago when my old camera broke int he middle of filming.
It's about a guy who rents a bunch of movies from the video store only to have his nerdy scientist brother create some anamoly in their house sucking the guy into his movies. It's a race against time as each movie the main character encounters becomes harder to survive. It won't win any awards over originality or dialogue but it's a fun project. ;D
I'll keep posting updates about it.

Ok new script updates. This one is going to take a couple weekends. My agent smith gun and Boris gun aren't coming until next week. The villains so far are for sure going to be Agent Smith, The Terminator, Boris Ivanovich (from the mars movies), and then I need some characters for the following genres: A bad guy cowboy, some evil ghost or spirit villain for the end (maybe?), and any good genres to include in the movie. I was thinking about the main character temporarily being in some weird german film noir but there wouldn't be many villains in that. Also I changed the story to where the main character sort of becomes like the hero in each movie. Like his wardrobe will change and he may know a bit of what to do as that hero (e.g. knowing how to fight agent smith). It was either this, or the heros from the movies came along too. In that case I could put in Indiana Jones and stuff like that, but the movie would get significantly bigger and would have a bunch of dialogue and stuff. Any ideas? What would you do with this mess?

This idea seems to have a good basis for a movie. I can't really think of many cowboy movie villains that are famous. You could use something from the old Clint Eastwood films, like The Good The Bad And The Ugly. I also can't really think of many famous ghost villians either. Most movies don't really give ghosts personalities, something required to be villains. You could always go with Casper the Friendly Ghost or the Stay-Puft Marshmellow Man . But seriously, try using a Stephen King movie for your horror genre. I can't think of any ghost based ones off the top of my head, but I'm sure you'll find something useful in one of his films. As for other genres, how about some of these? You could always do a James Bond film. The hero could assume Bond's role and foil whatever crazy and ellaborate sceme Ernst Blofeld and his assorted team of sub-villains have cooked up in an effort to conquer the world. How about a tribute to the Road Warrior or Mad Max? I think you could pull off doing a post-Apocolyptic battle of somekind. What about the good ol' classic Gangster movies, or other crime based movies, such as the Godfather, Goodfellas, or Scarface? These seems like good ideas to me, but I'm not sure how do-able they are. If you want any help in this movie, let me know. Peace

I'm not that good at remembering older villians. The only wild west villians I can remember are the one's from the old eastwood films as well. But the one that sticks out in my mind is the ol' Yul Brynner character from Westworld. And with that.... there wouldnt be much talking seeing as in the film he never spoke. movies.yahoo.com/shop?id=1800134648&d=hv&cf=infoI'll keep thinkin' though.

Hey, I like all of those ideas you guys have for characters and stuff. I think I might have an idea for the plot of the movie. I used to watch this old show when I was a kid about this guy who made a video game, and all of the bosses/villains he made somehow got out into the world. He had to go and defeat each villain to save the world. You know where I'm going with this... I think a similar plot would work for this movie, except that movie villains escape into the world. This would also make the locations easier to film, because you wouldn't have to worry about the main character being in a movie. I was thinking something like having the main character have to trap each villain back onto a DVD or something after he defeats them (kind of like ghostbusters or something), and must catch all the villains on the DVDs to save the world. This would give the plot some purpose, rather than just a guy wandering around with villains. I like the idea of the main character becoming the hero of each movie though. Maybe the main character could somehow use the power from each DVD and turn himself into the hero to combat the villain. I don't know, something like that. Well, that's all I've got. Good luck with the movie. Joe out. -Joe

I like the idea of the hero being put in into the hero part of the movie also and i can see the hero being put into like a old black and white ganster movie and be one of the hit men or somthing.... if you want you can try to have the villian escape from the movies but maybe the last one or somthing drags him in and he can become the hero in that movie or something. i dont know just a thought buh bye
